Process for Traveling patients
The first step is to call our office and speak with a Patient Advocate. The next step is to speak with our Travel Concierge team. Our Travel Concierges will schedule a time for our traveling patient to speak with Dr. Lavin for a 15-minute phone consultation. Following a consult with Dr. Lavin, the Travel Concierges will assist our traveling patient with flight arrangements, hotel accommodations, and more. Finally, it’s travel time! Our traveling patients typically arrive in New Orleans on Sunday night or Monday morning. Dr. Lavin will meet the patient on Monday for a pre-operative appointment and the procedures are usually scheduled for Tuesday morning. Patients can usually be discharged to a nearby hotel Wednesday morning. Dr. Lavin will meet with the patient for a post-operative appointment on Thursday, and the patient should be ready to travel home on Friday.
